I quickly fell in love with the process of gathering and making sense of lived experiences—including my own as a Korean-American kid navigating the liminal space between two worlds. Since then, I’ve dedicated my career to telling compelling, character-driven stories rooted in rich cultural narratives. Some of my works include BAD PRESS, a political thriller following the Native American jouranlists’ fight to protect press freedom in Indian Country (Winner of Special Jury Award at the Sundance Film Festival) and ACCEPTED, a coming-of-age story of four high school seniors caught in the midst of a college admissions scandal (Emmy Award Nomination for Outstanding Social Issue Documentary). Most recently, I edited Bao Nguyen’s latest Netflix Original, BTS: THE RETURN, a documentary chronicling BTS’ emotional reunion and comeback after their mandatory military service. As an editor, I thrive in the collaborative process of crafting cinematic narratives that breathe life into immersive experiences.
